It’s great to meet friends after long, especially when they are coming back after long from overseas. But it’s not that easy if they come back with some really annoying habits, some of which are listed below.
1. They forget to speak Nepali as soon as they get on that plane.
“Yo! Sup dawg?” Wait, what? Don’t you dare call me dog. You are a dog. Also, I always find it amusing how a U.S return can carry a British accent. Seriously?
2. They drink only and only, bottled water.
But really? Do you have to gargle and brush using bottled water as well? And sometimes they demand sparkling water too. Whatever that is.
3. Stray animals scare them.
“O.M.G! A dog in the middle of the street. Is this a zoo?” Are you really going to ask me if these dogs have OWNERS?? REALLY??
4. Everything is Dirty.
If you listen carefully, You can still hear them saying “CHEEE”, “EWWW”, “GROSSS”, “OH EM GEEE” in the side of Ratna Park.
5. Every sentence starts with a “back in the states…”
Nepali Driving Habits *Blah Blah Blah* Air Pollution *Blah Blah Blah* Politicians Bad *Blah Blah Blah* US is so much better *Blah Blah Blah*
6. Everything is Spicy.
Drinks plain water. Reaction: “Why is this so spicy?”
7. “Do You Take Credit Cards?”
Showing off their credit card at every random street shop and reacting like this when they find out it’s not accepted.
8. They have a thing for “labels” now.
Apparently they want “Guki” “Louis Bhutan” “Mikel Curse”.
